  • schizobovine - Fantastic, eye-opening bookI happened upon this book discreetly lying about in a good friend's library, almost as if she had hidden it just well enough for the casual observer to miss but obvious enough for the curious. And with such a provocative title, could one not be curious about this book?

Preface: you must be open-minded to get the full benefit to this book. If a world where the word "slut" is not an insult, but a compliment, is inconceivable or impossibly distasteful, save your money.

However, if you think sex can be a good thing, if the idea that heterosexual monogamy *isn't* the only option, then get this book (if you haven't read it already, of course). If I was asked what the most important books on sexuality would be for a library, this would be among them.

Eaton & Hardy demystifying other relationship possibilities, taking the time to explain all the basics -- sex/gender aren't the same things, gender preference isn't a binary thing, and loving only a single other person forever isn't the only way. They present the various ways all of this fits together, and gave me a good understanding of the core concepts that underly sexual, romantic, and otherwise (for the Greek-knowning, erotic, filial, and agape) fulfilling relationships of all kinds. There's no magic here, but that's the beauty of it. Keep an open mind, defer your judgment, and *communicate*.

They give a great discussion on jealous, how it fits in, and how to manage it. You'll be shocked to hear that the answer to that is *gasp* open & honest communication. ;)

If nothing else, you'll finish reading and find yourself more knowledgeable about others you may meet (or already know, as it turned out I did), while still being all the more confident in yourself. Perhaps you'll try something new out. Maybe that experience will change your life; maybe it'll just be a fun story to tell at parties. And all this while making a commitment to mutual respect that makes the world a nicer, sexier place to live.
  • TeaganAllen - Changed my life!I am only 23 years old but I have had problems since I started puberty. I've always had a lot of thick discharge, smells, and once I started having sex, lots of infections and pain. I finally got so tired of it and did my research and found out it was a bacteria problem. I started taking these pills every day and occasionally using the vaginal gel. Things have changed dramatically for me. I don't remember how long it took to start working but when it did I was so releaved. Finally the answers to my problems! Give it some time and if you have these problems...they will go away as long as you take these pills. I did try and stop using them and all my problems came back to me. I think $30 a month is worth giving away for fixing such an embarassing and disgusting issue!!!
  • dmpg "mommy of one" - Exactly what I hoped for !!I ordered this specifically to wear while skiing in the mountains. I was able to comfortably wear this under my coat. The hose was close to my body so it didn't freeze even at 10 F. As an added bonus the pack create an insulating layer against a very cold chair!!

My husband chose another brand that was designed to fit his backpack ... The nozzle did not work as well in the cold temps with cold fingers.

I am so happy I bought this. Camelbak rocks :)
  • Mama Food Researcher "Mama Food Researcher" - Great Diet for people with Ulcerative Colitis and RECOMMENDATIONThis specific carbohydrate diet really works. I no longer have any signs of UC (ulcerative colitis). The book is a really easy read (only 78 pages-- the rest of the book is recipes). The RECIPES are easy and fun. I read of few reviews that said it was hard to make the food in the recipe book. I disagree.
I do RECOMMEND that you have a Cuisinart Food Processor Prep 11+ or other food processor. It makes grinding up the nuts really easy and really fast. The food tastes great. I have enjoyed the muffins, bread and pancakes... taste like the real thing! I am also lactose intolerant so I have not made the yogurt that is crucial to the diet. I do take probiotic pills instead.
It really is not a hard diet to follow... lots of fruits, veggies, meats and nuts. I would also recommend a juicer. The "Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer" is pretty amazing. I make fresh carrot and apple juice almost once a week (the juice lasts about 5-7 days). Delicious!
Hope you purchase the book if you have any kind of intestinal issues. This book is also good to read for people that have children with Autism or for people with mental disabilities.

Also, I recommend that you buy the nuts at Costco. They are really inexpensive there. Lowest price that I found.
